This whole 'year off, holiday thing started to feel real yesterday when I booked some accomodation!
I have booked 2 nights in a palm frond beach shelter at Kooljaman, an aboriginal owned wilderness camp at Cape Leveque. I also have the phone number of a local guy who will take you out mud crabbing. I'm not sure about this, but Stuart's keen! Here are pictures of the shelter and the position of it!

New tyres and rims...
Given the car had odd sized tyres and rims, we have purchased and fitted new rims and heavy duty, all terrain tyres fitted (at a pretty price!!!). To keep it all legal, we had to go from a 15 inch to a 16 inch rim, but the tyres are now a common size and will be much easier to replace in remote areas if we need to!
Fingers crossed we won't need to though!

The camper
We have placed our order for a brand new Cub Kamparoo "Daintree" LE off-road camper trailer, through Off Road Equipment in Myaree.
Ours will be grey (instead of the green!) and we'll have two sea kayaks and two mountain bikes instead of the boat!
Delivery date is Monday 19 April!
