Our new home has arrived!

We have just picked up our new camper trailer! After about an hour long walk-through with the supplier, opening it, closing it, it came time to hitch it up and drive it home, but for one small problem...

The trailer lights wouldn’t work! Typical! But never fear, 3 guys, a couple of cold beers, some Neil Diamond and whalla - it was all fixed. Turned out to be dodgy wiring in the socket on the ute (NOT the new trailer thankfully!)

(they actually supplied it with the wrong rims, which will be changed this week, but we took it anyway so Stuart could work on it over the weekend)

It’s just what we were hoping for and we’re itching for our 'shake down' trip down south this weekend. Then return home for the final week of packing up the house!!

Thanks party-goers

Thanks to everyone who joined us last weekend for our combined engagement/going away party. We had such a great time and feel extremely lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives. And boy, can some of them cook! ...and carve! ...and renovate a garden! Everyone put in such a great effort!

We now have a long list of potential places to visit, thanks to everyone’s suggestions!

Over the long weekend we are going to be working on the house getting it ready to rent out, and finalising the bits and pieces we need to pack for our trip. There’s still quite a few things we need to buy, so we’re also working out how we are going to spend the generous vouchers that we received as engagement presents!
